United Airlines Revises Ticket Policies for Travelers Affected by Hurricane Wilma

/noticias.info/ United Airlines has revised its ticketing policies for customers with travel plans to and from Cancun and Cozumel, Mexico, affected by Hurricane Wilma. These revised policies apply to all customers ticketed on or before Oct. 19, for travel Oct. 19 – Oct. 22 on any United®, United Express®, TedSM or United code-share flight.

United has also revised its ticketing policies for its customers with travel plans to and from Fort Lauderdale, West Palm Beach, Miami, Fort Myers, Tampa, Orlando, Key West an Sarasota, Florida, affected by Hurricane Wilma. These revised policies apply to all customers ticketed on or before Oct. 19, for travel between Oct. 20 – Oct. 24 on any United®, United Express®, TedSM or United code-share flight.

For customers currently en route who would like to adjust a return trip, rules and restrictions regarding standard change fees, advance purchase, day or time applications, and/or minimum stay or Saturday night-stay requirements have been waived.

For passengers who have not begun travel, one change to the travel plans may be made without change fees or advance purchase requirement for the same itinerary. For a new itinerary, one change may be made without change fees. Rescheduled travel may be subject to higher fares if it does not meet original rule and booking-code restrictions or is a new itinerary.

Only customers with already canceled flights are eligible for a full refund.

Passengers may make these changes by calling the booking travel agency or United reservations at 1-800-UNITED-1 on or before the original travel date. Customers are advised to visit www.united.com or to call 1-800-UNITED-1 for flight status information. United will continue to monitor the situation and adjust ticketing policies as necessary.
