FIBA: CHN - Brazil get China invite

/noticias.info/ RIO DE JANEIRO, October 26 (Stankovic Cup) - The Chinese Basketball Federation have invited the Brazilian national team to play in the Stankovic Cup next year.

The second edition of the tournament will be played in Nanjing from August 10 to 15 and six nations will take part.

Apart from Brazil, who won the FIBA Americas Championship in the middle of the year, reigning Olympic champions Argentina and host nation China have confirmed they will be taking part.

"The Stankovic Cup will be the best end to our preparations for the FIBA World Championship in Japan,"Brazil coach Alberto 'Lula' Ferreira commented.

"It'll be a high-level tournament, with elite teams like Argentina, who are strong candidates to win the world title."

"We're very proud of playing in this tournament,"he ended.
