European film Heritage: Citizenship education through European eyes - Prize winning films
/noticias.info/ The jury for the sixth annual festival of European cinema – “Citizenship education through European eyes” - has decided by a majority, after intense discussions, to award the European Democratic Citizenship Prize to the film “Va, vis et deviens” for its message attacking discrimination and promoting cultural diversity and mutual respect.
The jury also awarded a second prize to the film “Paradise now” for the quality of its cinematography and for its strong message, particularly its analysis of the roots of blind violence and its strong condemnation of terrorism.
The prizes have been announced yesterday evening at the Odyssée cinema by Council of Europe Secretary General Terry Davis and Michel Girard, Vice President of the Strasbourg Urban Community.
