FIBA: UGA - Obol takes center stage for Uganda

/noticias.info/ KAMPALA (National Team) - Uganda coach Robet Ndamagye is counting on veteran point guard Sam Obol to provide leadership on the floor when his young side host the East, Central and Southern Africa Challenge Cup next week.

Obol made his debut for the national team seven years ago and truly is like a coach on the floor, as many a player at his position have been described over the years.

Obol coached Makerer Sparks and led them to the 2003 women's title in the country.

"His experience and leadership made him our best choice and without a doubt, he will lead the side especially now that we have some young players," coach Robert Ndamagye said to the Ugandan Daily Monitor.

The tournament will be staged at the Lugogo Indoor Stadium.
