SOUTHERN AFRICA TOUR: Horne pushes forward at Volvo China Open

/noticias.info/ Keith Horne fired his second successive 68 for a total of six-under-par 210, continuing his rapid ascension of the leaderboard to sit tied for 15th following the third round of the Volvo China Open.

Horne had another solid day at the Shenzhen Golf Club, a solitary drop on the par-3 2nd was soon eclipsed as he powered ahead to card five birdies including a trio starting on the par-5 8th.

Hendrik Buhrmann also made an upwards leap with his third round effort of even-par 70 for an aggregate two-under-par 214.

Buhrmann made a run of four birdies following a drop on the par-3 5th. But the eight-time Sunshine Tour winner’s charge was curtailed when he failed to capitalise on his momentum on the back nine.

England’s Ross Fisher took the lead, carding 68 for a total of 11-under-par 205, one stroke ahead of compatriot Oliver Wilson and second round leader Chawalit Plaphol.
