PGA EUROPEAN TOUR: Allenby holds on to win the MFS Australian Open

/noticias.info/ Despite a disappointing final round 77, Robert Allenby held his nerve to post a one shot victory in the MFS Australian Open at the Moonah Links course in Victoria.

Allenby started the final round five shots clear of the field but a succession of errors allowed the chasing pack to close in. But coming to the last he needed a par to triumph and achieved it for a winning four under par aggregate of 284.

European Tour Member Nick O’Hern shared second place on three under par 285 after a closing 72 with compatriots John Senden (70) and Paul Sheehan (73).
