AC MILAN: Passepartout Inzaghi
/noticias.info/ Filippo Inzaghi can always be relied on in the hour of need. He’s the type of player who has that uncanny of being in the right place at the right time and even almost a year-and-a-half on and off away from the game has not dulled his goalscoring instincts. Who else could you expect to resolve what looked almost like a lost cause with less than thirty seconds to go and create something out of nothing? It’s that never-say-die spirit that ensured that Pippo fought back from what looked like a career-threatening injury and all those long hours of training alone before rejoining the squad have paid off. His last-gasp winner against Lecce was a carbon-copy of how he had broken Palermo’s hearts and any side would want a player of his calibre coming off the bench. There is no doubt that Inzaghi has brought a new-found maturity to his game since the lay-off and this should be contributing factor to further unforgettable moments for both him and the team. A word too for Andrea Pirlo who set up the winner, with a deft header into Pippo’s path and who opened the scoring with another marvelous free-kick. The future’s looking bright and the Milan players are living in exciting times.
