LIVERPOOL FC: REDS HELD AT THE BREAK
/noticias.info/ Lee Brown
Liverpool have found goal chances hard to come by in the first half against Manchester City today and go in at the break held 0-0.
It's been a hard fought first 45 and despite dominating at times, Liverpool's best chances have been largely restricted to set pieces.
The Reds have never won at the City of Manchester Stadium and it was Manchester City who started the game the better. They came close to scoring in 13th minute when Vassell headed wide from Musampa's cross, but they too have created little to threaten Pepe Reina's goal.
The Reds almost grabbed the lead on the stroke of half time when Gerrard burst through and hit a shot just wide.
Rafa Benitez has had to do without the services of Bolo Zenden today after he was ruled out with a knee injury.
