WORLD CUP: Attack the best form of defence for Tahir
/noticias.info/ Tahir Latif, winner of the Sydney edition of the FIFA Interactive World Cup, believes that his offensive strategy ultimately paid off.
FIFA.com: Tahir, how are you feeling?
Tahir Latif: I'm absolutely delighted! I travelled down from Melbourne to give it my best shot and I came away with tickets to the final of the FIFA World Cup™ and an Xbox 360! I'm really proud to be representing Australia in the Grand Final!
Did you think you'd get this far?
I felt I had as good a chance as anyone else in the room. I've been playing the FIFA games for the last eleven years and Xbox for the last two so I've been doing my homework.
How will you prepare for the Grand Final?
Pretty much as I prepared for today's tournament - play against my mates and on Xbox Live.
What were your tactics?
Attack from the first whistle! I knew the standard would be high so I figured I just had to give it everything I had. There were some really good players out there today and I really enjoyed competing against them.
What did you think of the tournament today?
Incredible, absolutely incredible. I had a lot of fun and made some new friends - I managed to meet up with a few of the guys I've played over the internet which was great. I was a bit nervous before the final but those two early goals really helped settle me.
What's so special about playing this game?
It's incredibly real - the gameplay is great. Also, being able to play over the internet means you can play loads of different people, all with different styles around the world.
Why do you play as AC Milan?
I've been a lifelong fan of the side so it was only natural that I'd pick them as my team. They're really strong upfront and solid at the back, an ideal combination! I'll definitely stick with them in London!
