FIBA: USA - Dirk downs Bulls

/noticias.info/ NEW YORK (NBA) - German superstar Dirk Nowitzki made just one of his first six shots but ended up tying his season-high total with 35 points as the Dallas Mavericks posted a 102-94 victory at the Chicago Bulls.

Dallas have now won seven straight games in the "Windy City" and 14 of their last 15 against Chicago overall.

Luol Deng scored 25 points off the bench for the Bulls.

Tim Duncan collected his 14th double-double of the season with 26 points and 12 rebounds as the San Antonio Spurs cruised to a 110-85 victory over the Orlando Magic.

France international Tony Parker had 20 points and seven assists and Robert Horry added a season-high 18 points for the Spurs, who collected 10 blocked shots in improving to 7-2 on the road.

Jameer Nelson scored 20 points and Dwight Howard contributed 13 and 15 rebounds for Orlando, who lost a fourth straight game.

Elton Brand scored a season-high 37 points, grabbed 12 rebounds and blocked six shots to lead the Los Angeles Clippers to a 99-89 triumph over the Miami Heat.

He recorded his third straight 30-point game and his 10th double-double in his last 11 for the Clippers, who tied the franchise record for best eight-game home record to start a season, matching the 1974-75 Buffalo Braves.

Sam Cassell scored 18 points and had a season-high 13 assists and Corey Maggette added 13 before leaving the game at the end of the third quarter with a sprained left ankle.

Eddie Griffin collected 14 points, 11 rebounds and a career-high eight blocked shots as the Minnesota Timberwolves coasted to an 91-77 victory at the Utah Jazz.
