INTER: ADRIANO: "THE LEAGUE FIRST, THEN AJAX"

Adriano, let's start with the draw in Nyon. Inter will face Ajax in the Champions League round of 16. What do you think about this?
"It would be wrong to say that we're happy because we know we face a tough match and we will obviously have to be very careful. We play the first match away, the return at home, so we will have to make very careful preparations for the two-legged tie because it won't be an easy round. Could it have been worse? Yes, it's true. Let's say that we're pleased about getting Ajax. But we mustn't trust appearances. Sometimes a match looks easy but on the pitch everything becomes much more difficult. Could the Champions League become your main objective for the season?
"Our objective is to win because we want to reach a big goal like the championship or the Champions League. Now, however, we have to think about the championship, because the Champions League is in two months from now and there will be time to think about that. We play every Sunday in the championship."

Can we say that the high-scoring Adriano of 2004 is returning?
"I always try to improve. I was in great form at Parma, and I'm trying to do the same in Milan. Actually, even more. I work hard during the week because I'm a player who needs to be in good physical form to give his best. Everything is going very well at Inter and I hope I score many, many more goals.
