JUVENTUS: Champions: in the eight-finals against Werder Bremen

Juventus will play its first match away Wednesday, February 22nd, while the home game at Delle Alpi will be Tuesday, March 7th. The German team had to beat Basel during the third preliminary round before getting to the Champions League final phase. After the 2-1 loss in Switzerland during the first-leg match, Werder imposed itself in the second-leg winning 3-0. The Germans were inserted in group C and qualified second for the eight-finals, after Barcelona. 7 were the points totalized by Juventus future opponents in the preliminary round, the same amount as Udinese, but because of better results in the direct matches against this team, (a 1-1 even game in Udine and a suffered 4-3 home win), mister Schaaf’s men passed the turn.

The Germans closed the round with 12 goals scored and the same amount undergone.
