EVERTON: MOYES WISHES KEANE WELL

/noticias.info/ By: Scott McLeod

David Moyes has wished Roy Keane all the best after the former Ireland international signed for Celtic.

The Blues held talks with the former Manchester United midfielder following his Old Trafford departure.

Everton were reportedly amongst the front-runners to secure Keane's signature but on Thursday the 34-year-old chose to sign for Celtic, the club he supported as a boy.

The Everton boss began his career at Celtic and has wished Keane the best for the future.

He said: "Roy Keane has joined a terrific club so good luck to him."

The Blues have also been linked with a January swoop for former midfield man Thomas Gravesen.

The Danish international left Everton to sign for Real Madrid in January but has not been a regular starter for Madrid this season.

That has led to speculation about his future with Everton amongst the clubs mentioned in connection with Gravesen.

Moyes has refused to respond to the speculation, saying: "We don’t make any rumours, you (the press) make rumours and I can tell you it is only a rumour." notas_de_prensa_archivo
