Steelers Notebook:
Defensive end Kimo von Oelhoffen knows the Steelers defense is going to face quite a challenge going against the NFL MVP Shaun Alexander and the rest of the Seahawks offense.
"You cannot compare them with any other team we've played," said von Oelhoffen. "The offensive line is the best. The running back is the best. The scheme is the best. There are no tendencies. They have a great play-action. They do everything very well."

Ben Roethlisberger has gotten a lot of phone calls the past week, but there was one that really had an impact on him – from Hall of Fame quarterback Dan Marino.
Marino, who is originally from Pittsburgh, called Roethlisberger to offer him some advice as he prepares for Super Bowl XL.
"He said, listen, enjoy this, you're young; you're doing the same thing I did," said Roethlisberger. "You think no matter what happens you're going to get back, but it doesn't necessarily happen like that.
"He said on one hand enjoy it, have a good time, but take it seriously enough that you want to win it because you never know when it's going to happen again."

Linebacker James Harrison has missed the AFC Championship and Divisional Playoff games, but don't expect him to not be ready for the Super Bowl.
"I am going to make sure I am ready," said Harrison.
Harrison suffered a high ankle sprain against the Cincinnati Bengals and is happy there is an extra week for him to get healthy.
"It gives me a little more time," said Harrison. "I'll go out here and see what I can do. I'm going to do a little individual stuff, warm-up stuff and then work my way into team stuff later."

The Steelers held their last practice before leaving for Super Bowl XL on Saturday morning at the team's practice facility at the UPMC Sports Performance Complex.
The team will depart for Detroit on Monday morning and continue their Super Bowl preparations there.

Running back Jerome Bettis started working on a book detailing his own account of the 2005 season and filled with photos when training camp started this year. He never thought that the book would take him through Super Bowl XL. Steelers fans can hope that it will have a storybook ending. notas_de_prensa_archivo
