MLB: Brewers return home for "Spring Madness"
Visits by Reds and Braves highlight April 20-26 schedule
/noticias.info/ MILWAUKEE -- Winners of five of their first six at Miller Park, the Milwaukee Brewers will begin a weeklong homestand on Thursday at Miller Park against the Cincinnati Reds. Following a four-game set against Central Division-rival Cincinnati, the Brewers will play three games against the Atlanta Braves before heading back out on the road.
Highlighting the weekend games of the Reds series is the annual Spring Madness ticket promotion. From April 21-23, all tickets priced $22 or less will be half price (excluding Uecker seats). Small Pepsi products and Klement's hot dogs will be priced at just $1 each.
Fans attending the April 21-23 games at Miller Park are also invited to participate in the Northwestern Mutual Brewers Drive for Charity. During the weekend, Northwestern Mutual and the Brewers encourage fans to drop off new or gently used children's books at the ballpark. Each person donating will receive a Ben Sheets Collectors pin.
Friday night will be the first U.S. Bank Autograph Friday of the season. Beginning at 5:45 p.m. on the field, eight Brewers players and coaches will autograph photo cards prior to the 7:05 p.m. game versus Cincinnati. The lineup for this Friday (which is subject to change) includes Chris Capuano, Jeff Cirillo, Jorge De La Rosa, Bill Hall, Corey Hart, Carlos Lee, Dave Nelson and Tomo Ohka.
The fun continues the next day when the first 10,000 kids 16-and-under who pass through the gates on for the 1:05 p.m. game vs. Cincinnati on Saturday, April 22 will receive a Brewers Kids Police Baseball Card Set. The card set features Brewers players and coaches and their positive messages for kids.
Sunday's matinee against the Reds will feature Badger Mutual Insurance Family Day when fans may purchase a package with four Terrace Reserved tickets, four hot dogs and four small sodas all for $36. Packages must be purchased at least one day in advance at the Miller Park Box Office or by phone only.
On Monday, April 24, the Atlanta Braves come to town for the first of three games. Monday will be "Milwaukee Braves Night" as the Brewers will honor Milwaukee Braves outfielder Andy Pafko in a pre-game ceremony on the field prior to the game. All fans in attendance will receive a commemorative Andy Pafko placard.
On Tuesday night, the popular Bill and Daron's Buckethead Brigade will return for their second event of the 2006 season.
Wednesday's 12:05 p.m. game against the Braves will close the homestand and mark the first MGD Getaway Day. As a part of the promotion, fans can enter to win a trip for two to Baltimore to see the Orioles play a Major League Baseball game in June. No purchase necessary and entry forms will be available throughout the Miller Park concourse.
Tickets for all seven games are still available. For ticket information, call the Brewers ticket office at 414-902-4000 or visit milwaukeebrewers.com. notas_de_prensa_archivo
