NFL: COLTS: SOLD OUT

/noticias.info/ By John Oehser - Colts.com

Fans Encouraged to Join Waiting List for 2008 and Beyond
INDIANAPOLIS – On the field, the recent years couldn’t have been much better for the Colts.

Three consecutive AFC South titles.

An AFC Championship Game appearance.

The NFL’s best record last season.

That on-field success, where the Colts have won more games (77) than any NFL team since 1999, has translated to success off the field, with the Colts announcing this week that their regular-season games have been sold out for the 2006 season.

That’s good news for the Colts, and a positive reflection on the team’s fans, Colts Senior Vice President of Sales and Marketing Tom Zupancic said.

Zupancic also said it means something else:

If fans want to see the Colts in Lucas Oil Stadium when it opens for the 2008 season, the time to join the waiting list is now.

“The only way to ensure that you as a fan will be able to see the team is to get on the season-ticket waiting list for the new stadium in 2008,” Zupancic said. “That establishes your priority and your seniority.

“The people on the waiting list will be the first people located in the new stadium or relocated in the new stadium after the current season-ticket holders. If you get on the waiting list, you have a good chance of getting seats for the new stadium.”

The Colts’ season-ticket base has increased steadily since Jim Irsay took over as Owner and Chief Executive Officer, Zupancic said.

“The way the team under Jim’s direction has performed both on and off the field has led to this point,” Zupancic said. “Obviously going to the playoffs as many times as we’ve gone to the playoffs the last seven or eight years is huge, coupled with the fact that most of our marketing has developed into actual touching the franchise outside of Indianapolis.

“This year, we’re doing a 30-city tour. Last year, it was 22 cities. We actually take players out, and (the Colts) Cheerleaders out, and get into the state of Indiana and beyond. We allow people to see, touch and feel the real experience.

“Rather than look at a newspaper ad, or billboard on the road, we’re giving them the in-flesh Colts out there in the communities. We’re trying to keep growing that fan base.”

Fans wanting to sign up for the season-ticket waiting list may visit www.Colts.com or phone 1-317-299-DOME.

Tickets for the Colts’ two 2006 home preseason games – against Seattle on August 20 and against Cincinnati on September 1 – will be made available on Saturday, April 29, at 10 a.m. Tickets will be available at the RCA Dome Ticket Office, all Ticketmaster ticket centers, charge-by-phone at 317-239-5151 and at ticketmaster.com.

Visit www.Colts.com for more information.

“We haven’t been in a situation like this since the mid-1980s,” Zupancic said. “The passion for the franchise has grown throughout the state of Indiana and beyond. Our outreach far exceeds I-465, where usually it started to dwindle.

“Demand for season tickets, club seats – all forms of entertainment and all abilities to view a game – are at an all-time high and a premium right now.” notas_de_prensa_archivo
