NHL: RANGERS: GREEN'S RIGHTS TRADED FOR CONDITIONAL PICK

/noticias.info/ Rangers President and General Manager Glen Sather announced today that the club has traded the rights of restricted free agent forward Mike Green to the Dallas Stars in exchange for a conditional pick in the 2008 NHL Entry Draft.

Green, 26, appeared in 50 games with the Hannover Scorpions of the Deutsche Eishockey Liga in Germany this season, registering 17 goals and 26 assists, along with 43 penalty minutes.

The 5-11, 192-pounder has appeared in 24 career NHL games with the Rangers and Florida Panthers, all during the 2003-04 season. After making his NHL debut on February 3, 2004 at San Jose, Green collected one assist along with two penalty minutes in 11 games with the Panthers. On March 9, 2004 he was claimed off waivers by the Rangers and in 13 games with the Blueshirts collected one goal and two assists, along with two penalty minutes.

The native of Calgary, Alberta has also appeared in 171 career American Hockey League (AHL) contests with the Louisville Panthers, Cincinnati Mighty Ducks and San Antonio Rampage, registering 42 goals and 67 assists for 109 points, along with 49 penalty minutes.

Prior to turning professional, Green spent four seasons with the Edmonton Ice and Kootenay Ice of the Western Hockey League (WHL). notas_de_prensa_archivo
