PGA: Faldo ties up TV deal

/noticias.info/ Six-time major champion Nick Faldo is to combine the Ryder Cup captaincy with being the main golf analyst for the Golf Channel in America.

Faldo has agreed to what was described as a "multi-year" contract beginning in 2007, when the Golf Channel kicks off its 15-year partnership with the US Tour.

The Englishman, who turns 49 on July 18 and takes over from Ian Woosnam as captain following this September's match, said: "I've gained some valuable experience and insight into broadcasting over the last couple of years and I am now looking forward to taking it to the next level."

He continued: "With the Golf Channel's long-term commitment to the tour it really was an easy decision for me to make." notas_de_prensa_archivo
