NHL: PENGUINS ANNOUNCE 2006-2007 REGULAR SEASON SCHEDULE
/noticias.info/ The Pittsburgh Penguins will open the 2006-07 regular season at Mellon Arena against the Philadelphia Flyers on Thursday, October 5. Game time for the opener is 7:30 p.m.
The 41-game home schedule features 11 Saturday dates and 20 weekend dates in all.
The Penguins will play eight games against each against their Atlantic Division rivals, the New Jersey Devils, the New York Islanders, the New York Rangers and Philadelphia Flyers. They will play each division team four times at home and four times on the road, for a total of 32 games.
The Penguins will play four games each against the other 10 teams in the Eastern Conference – two home and two away, making for an additional 40 games within the conference.
The Penguins will play 10 games against Western Conference teams. They will play one home game each against Central Division teams – Chicago, Columbus, Detroit, Nashville and St. Louis – and one road game each against Pacific Division teams – Anaheim, Dallas, Los Angeles, Phoenix and San Jose.
The Penguins’ regular starting time for home games is 7:30 p.m. However, because of national TV considerations, please note that there will be several other starting times for selected games throughout the season.
