NASCAR: DALE EARNHARDT: Fans competing to be on hood of Stewart's DEI Busch car
/noticias.info/ Parsippany, NJ – Voting has begun for the Mayor of Goody’s Country Campaign at goodyspowder.com. The winning mayoral candidate will receive the once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to have their face featured on the hood of Tony Stewart’s No. 8 Dale Earnhardt, Inc. Chevrolet at the NASCAR Busch Series race in Charlotte on Saturday, October 13.
A total 50 candidates were selected from more than 950 entries. The general public is encouraged to vote for their favorite candidate on www.goodyspowder.com between August 1 and September 24. The winner will be announced and the special paint scheme unveiled at a press conference with Tony Stewart on Saturday, October 7 at Talladega Superspeedway. At that time, the newly elected Mayor of Goody’s Country will then see their face on Stewart’s car as a VIP guest at the October 13 NASCAR Busch race in Charlotte.
“I am amazed at the response and the creativity of all the entries,” said Stewart, a two-time NASCAR NEXTEL Cup Series champion. “I encourage all race fans to go to www.goodyspowder.com and vote for their favorite candidate. I’m looking forward to seeing which fan’s face will adorn the hood of my #8 DEI Busch Series Car in Charlotte.”
Earlier this summer, Goody’s Headache Powders® invited all NASCAR fans to www.goodyspowder.com to become the “Mayor of Goody’s Country” and get their face in the race. With that opportunity on the line, the fans responded with a large number of entries epitomizing the theme that “everything is fast” in Goody’s Country.
“We’re delighted with the sheer number of race fans who nominated themselves as the future Mayor of Goody’s Country, said Darren Singer, Vice President of Goody’s Marketing. “The high fan interest confirms the fact that it is a once in a lifetime opportunity to grace the hood of Tony Stewart’s car in October. We encourage race fans to help us determine who is most worthy to become the Mayor of Goody’s Country where everything is about speed. The large numbers of entries we have received point to the fact that NASCAR fans have a long standing loyalty to the sport and to the Goody’s brand.”
Goody’s also sponsors the Goody’s Headache of the Race, the Goody’s Headache Powder “Extra Strength Award”, and the Goody’s Fast Relief Zone. The Goody’s Headache of the Race Award is given to the driver that suffers the worst luck in each week’s NASCAR NEXTEL Cup and Busch Series race as determined by fans voting online at goodyspowder.com. The Goody’s Extra Strength Award is a weekly NASCAR contingency award given to the highest finishing NASCAR Busch Series regular. The Goody’s Fast Relief Zone is an interactive NASCAR experience for fans to enjoy and sample Goody’s Headache Powder at select NASCAR races.
