FORMULA 1 - RENAULT: The Altran Engineering Academy goes to...

/noticias.info/ The 2006 AEA Final Presentation took place on July 31st at the Renault F1 Team factory in Enstone (UK). The third AEA’s laureate is 27-year old Swede Gustav Kristiansson.

They were seven finalists determined to make the most of their trip, sometimes from as far as Brazil or India. Aged between 22 and 29, they all saw the AEA as a unique opportunity to live their dream: to work in Formula 1. They were able to take a closer look at it during the exceptional factory tour which took place during the jury’s deliberations. It was a small reward after spending all morning watching others doing their presentations before going on stage to face the jury.

It was hard to impress these five professionals who had both expertise and credentials! Lead by Robin Tuluie (Head of R&D at the Renault F1 Team), it also featured Frédéric Delarue (journalist at GP2006.com and F1 Racing ), Claude-Emmanuel Boisson (former Altran Group CTO), Alfonso Martinez (Media Consultores director, a Spanish Altran Group subisidiary) and Olivier Guillaud (a consultant in the partnership between Altran and the Renault F1 Team).

In the end, there can be only one, and it was Gustav Kristiansson who received his comrades’ congratulations. His reward? A paid six-month stint in the Renault F1 Team’s R&D department with Robin Tuluie (president of the jury) in Enstone (UK), with a company car and a paid flat, along with the not-so-secret hope of following the footsteps of Mark Caldwell (2004 AEA laureate), Isaac Prada (2005 AEA laureate) and Jacomo Corbo (2005 AEA runner-up) who all saw their stay in Oxfordshire extended… See you next year to learn what became of Gustav!
