CHELSEA FC: Kerry's Coral tips
/noticias.info/ “José may not believe Chelsea are not ready to fire on all cylinders yet but the bookies don’t see that way,” says resident tipster Kerry Dixon as he looks forward to the commencement of the Premiership season on Sunday.
“Coral have the team down as 1/5 to gather all three points against Man City, roughly the same short odds as we were for a home win throughout most of last season.
“The draw is 4/1 with Man City 10/1 to pull off a shock away win. Many people remember the trouble they gave Chelsea two seasons ago but anyone who takes a wider look at form will see Man City have an awful record at Stamford Bridge. Stuart Pearce’s side finished last season in poor form also.
“So I’m not tipping anything but a Chelsea win although the odds of 5/1 on make the straight win bet prohibitive. You could get better value by going for a half-time/full-time home win/home win at 8/15 or a draw/home win at 7/2.
“I’m going for a tried and trusted formula with correct score betting by placing three fivers on 1-0, 2-0 and 3-0 Chelsea win. With Coral, the odds on these three scores are 6/1, 11/2 and 13/2.
“There is a risk factor in this bet in that the defence hasn’t looked all that secure over the pre-season and the squad for the time being looks a little short in the full-back area, particularly with the Ashley Cole saga unresolved and the injury to Gérémi.
“But I’m going to stick my neck out and say the boys will be strong enough to hold out against the Man City attack.
“At the other end of the field, Shevchenko has understandably moved clear as favourite to score the first goal on Sunday. He is 10/3 to do that and 14/1 to mark his Premiership debut with a hat-trick.
“I know I tipped Drogba last weekend and he didn’t deliver but he remains a short 11/2 to find the net first on Sunday.
“Wright-Phillips scored on his last appearance at the Bridge and is 14/1 to put the first one past his former club. Combo that up with a 2-0 win and you would earn £550 for a £10 stake.” notas_de_prensa_archivo
