Oracle® Fusion Middleware Momentum Attracts ISVs

Each day more ISVs choose Oracle

/noticias.info/ Madrid, Spain - Increasing demand for the Oracle® Fusion Middleware platform is the driver behind the opening of two Independent Software Vendor (ISV) migration centres in Europe this year, with the result that more ISVs are joining the Oracle fold, Stein Surlien, Vice President, Oracle EMEA Alliances and Channels, said in Madrid today.

In the last year, Oracle has welcomed more than 1000 new ISV partners in the Europe Middle East and Africa (EMEA) region, and today Oracle's EMEA PartnerNetwork (OPN) has more than 10,400 members, including more than 5,400 ISVs. This recruitment boom is being attributed to global momentum around Oracle Fusion Middleware adoption and an extensive series of educational Oracle ISV Roadshows held throughout Europe.

Mr. Surlien said the fact that Oracle has been able to open two new migration centres and host more than 60 ISV roadshow events across 35 EMEA countries this year, reflects the huge demand from ISVs wanting to work with Oracle.

"ISVs are keen to sign up with Oracle because we have the best partner offering available. ISVs are flocking to Oracle because they have access to thousands of customers that already have Oracle databases installed," said Mr Surlien. "That's an instant, ready-made target market for them. Additionally, we're driving demand generation programmes to promote their solutions to SMB customers across EMEA. Our ISV managers, technical support resources, ISV programmes and migration centres are there to give ISVs the tools and resources they need."

The migration centres and roadshows are an example of Oracle's commitment to helping its partners develop, market and sell leading-edge solutions. By exploiting Oracle's world-leading technology, ISVs can offer their customers capabilities to streamline and optimise business and IT processes and increases the accuracy and timeliness of decisions at the lowest cost of ownership.

Situated in Munich and Istanbul, the migration centres are dedicated to helping ISVs move to Oracle Fusion Middleware, a product which is used by more than 28,000 customers in EMEA and which allows ISVs to develop applications for customers on top of any existing technology or application environment.

Oracle has also, this year, announced the introduction of its Oracle® OPN QuickStart Plus, an entry level programme for new Oracle VARs (Value Added Resellers) and ISVs who wish to sell Oracle Database and Application Server Standard Edition One and Standard Edition. More than 1000 partners have joined Oracle QuickStart programmes in EMEA to date.

"Oracle offers the best proposition for ISVs in terms of market readiness and flexibility," said Eugenio Espinosa, Utilities Executive Director at Soluziona, an Oracle ISV based in Spain. "Through our relationship with Oracle, we are able to offer our utilities and energy customers in the area of generation, distribution and customer relations world-class products and services. The company takes supporting ISVs in the utilities market very seriously and this in turn allows us to develop long-term profitable relationships with our customers."
