EVERTON FC: MOYES WILL LEAVE IT LATE
/noticias.info/ David Moyes will leave it as late as possible before deciding on his team for the away trip to Middlesbrough on Saturday.
The international exertions of a number of the Blues' first-team players has added to the selection problems of the Everton boss.
A hamstring strain picked up during the warm-up in Croatia has left Phil Neville a major doubt for the Riverside, although the hamstring injury which prevented Andy Johnson joining up with the international squad may yet not stop the striker maintaining his 100 per cent appearance record in the Premiership this term.
The striker has responded well to treatment and is in contention for the game this weekend.
But the boss will not be making any decisions until Saturday morning.
He said: "We will wait and see with them all. I hope Andy will be okay but we will see how everything is after training.
"We won't know until we have got all the lads back after international duty.
"Phil Neville (hamstring) was not due back until today, neither was Tim Cahill. Nuno Valente has a slight groin strain but Andy is really close.
"Davie Weir and James McFadden came back yesterday from the Ukraine and they are both in contention, like everyone else."
With doubts over Neville and Valente, Alessandro Pistone could be back in contention after overcoming an Achilles problem.
"We just want to go and play as well as we can," said Moyes. "We got a good result there last season and hopefully we can get something similar.
"The main thing is that we keep showing our good form and that we can keep progressing." notas_de_prensa_archivo
