uefa : Totti keeps Roma flying high
/noticias.info/ AS Roma's bid for the Serie A title gathered momentum when Francesco Totti scored twice to give them a 2-1 win at AC Milan on Saturday.
Crisp volley
The Roma captain opened the scoring in the seventh minute when he beat Milan goalkeeper Dida with a crisp volley. Cristian Brocchi equalised early in the second half, but in the 83rd minute Totti struck the winner, heading in a cross from Brazilian winger Mancini. The victory gives Roma 23 points from eleven matches, one behind joint leaders FC Internazionale Milano and US Città di Palermo, who play Parma FC and Udinese Calcio respectively on Sunday. Milan's fourth defeat in their last five matches left them stranded in 16th place in the 20-team division with seven points.
Pazzini double
Earlier on Saturday, Giampaolo Pazzini scored two late goals against former club Atalanta BC to earn ACF Fiorentina a 3-1 victory. Giulio Migliaccio put the fourth-placed visitors ahead in the 26th minute before Adrian Mutu quickly equalised for the Viola. Pazzini had the final say, though, finding the net in the 89th minute and deep into added time to move Fiorentina on to three points after they started the season on -15 points due to their involvement in the sporting fraud scandal. notas_de_prensa_archivo
