ARSENAL: 'Part of a big season is to beat the big teams'

/noticias.info/ on a significant victory...
"We knew today would be an important game for my team, for the season. We had a good team focus, our big players were all focused. 'Strong stars, strong team' is what I could say today, because all the players you expect to dictate the way for the team - because we are a very young team - did very well."

on sending a message to other teams...
"Well, a part of a big season is to beat the big teams,. It's not everything but we have won at Manchester United and we have beaten Liverpool, so we can have hope. But we are a very young team and I think we have to learn to put that kind of effort in every game, that kind of team focus in every game. The quicker you learn that the better chance you have to achieve something at the end of the season."

on Liverpool's title chances...
"They have 17 points. I think you have to take into consideration that Liverpool have very good home form. If you multiply 19 [games] by 3 that is already 57. As for the rest they have lost a few games away but they have played at Manchester, at Chelsea, at Arsenal and at Everton, who are for them the most difficult away teams."

on Alan Pardew...
"I reacted and I regret that because you should never react, but I accept his apologies and life goes on. I have not spoken to Alan Pardew or anyone else about the matter since it happened and I will not especially demand a hearing because, for me, the incident is over."

on Freddie Ljungberg's fitness...
"Yes, he's fit. I judged him not match fit for tonight because he had only two days with the team. If he had two more days he could have played tonight but he will be released for Sweden. The best way for him after five weeks off is not to play the whole game, but he can play a big part in the game." notas_de_prensa_archivo
