Council of Europe teams up with UN and OSCE against terrorism
/noticias.info/ Strasbourg, 13.11.2006 - The Council of Europe will participate in the Second Sub-regional Expert Workshop on International Co-operation on Counter-Terrorism, Corruption and the Fight against Transnational Organised Crime which the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC) and the Organisation for Security and Co-operation in Europe (OSCE) are organising, in co-operation with the Stability Pact for South-Eastern Europe in Bucharest (Romania) from 13 to 15 November 2006.
The Workshop will bring together experts from 14 countries (Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Croatia, the Czech Republic, Hungary, Moldova, Montenegro, Poland, Romania, Serbia, Slovakia, Slovenia and "the former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia"). In addition, a number of international and regional inter-governmental organisations will participate in this event.
The Council of Europe will report on Countering incitement to terrorism and relevant recent legal developments, including the recent report by the UN Security Council Counter-Terrorism Committee on Resolution 1624.
