PSV: Farfan and Culina start against Excelsior

/noticias.info/ Jefferson Farfán will start tonight, when PSV take on SBV Excelsior in the Philips Stadium, although he did not return to De Herdgang training ground until late yesterday afternoon, after he had been away on international duty with Peru. Jason Culina replaces Edison Mendez, who serves a one-match ban.

Mika Väyrynen and Ismail Aissati are both ruled out of tonight’s match. The Finnish international sustained a hamstring injury in Finland’s Euro 2008 qualifying game with Armenia in Helsinki earlier this week and Aissati is also suffering from a hamstring strain. Michael Lamey returns to the squad after some weeks; he will start on the bench.

PSV starting line-up:
Gomes, Kromkamp, Alex, Da Costa, Salcido, Cocu, Simons, Afellay, Culina, Koné and Farfán.

Substitutes: Moens, Addo, Reiziger, Lamey, Fehér, Beerens and Tardelli.

SBV Excelsior starting line-up:
Zwarthoed, Jansen, Van Nieuwstadt, Drost, Bandjar, Van Dieren, Slory, Guijo Velasco, Grot, Simr and Piqué.
