FIBA: BOCOG invites bids for overlays for the Olympic Games
/noticias.info/ On December 15, the Beijing Organizing Committee for the Games of the XXIX Olympiad (BOCOG) will launch the solicitation for bids for overlays to be used in 31 competition venues and 15 non-competition venues.
Construction engineering companies at home and abroad can take part in the bid individually or jointly, provided that they possess related experiences and qualifications.
According to BOCOG information, the overlays are referred to as the facilities to be made ready prior to the Games and removed after the Games to meet the Games-time operational needs.
They primarily comprise of tents, portable houses, fences, TV camera platforms, TV commentators 'seats, temporary parking lots and temporary roadways.
The bid period is from December 15, 2006 to January 8, 2007. As the property owner, BOCOG is responsible for putting in the funds for the project. In line with geographical locations of the venues, the project is divided into three bid sections, each entitled to an amount of 120 million yuan. Bid winners are responsible for the design, implementation, Games-time maintenance and after-Games removal of the facilities for the test events, Olympic Games and Paralympic Games.
