FOOTBALL EUROPE: Wisła part ways with Okuka

/noticias.info/ Wisła Kraków have parted company with Serbian coach Dragomir Okuka after a run of disappointing league results and elimination from the UEFA Cup.

Fifth place
The 52-year-old took over at Wisła on 20 September but with his side going into the winter break fifth in the Ekstraklasa, having lost three of their four games in the UEFA Cup group stage, the club chose to terminate his contract on Friday.

Potential successor
"We appreciate the contribution that coach Okuka made to the wins our team recorded in the first part of the season but our expectations regarding our league placing were much higher," said Wisła vice president Jerzy Jurczyński.
