FOOTBALL EUROPE: New names take charge in Ukraine
/noticias.info/ FC Kryvbas Kryvyi Rih and FC Zorya Luhansk have appointed new coaches as preparations for the second half of the Ukrainian Premier League season begin.
Former glories
Kryvbas's president-elect Olexander Lifshits announced that Oleg Taran will lead the club in the spring. "Taran worked with our team in 1990s and twice took Kryvbas to third-placed finishes as well as to a Ukrainian Cup final," said Lifshits. The 46-year-old coach previously worked for FC Metalurh Zaporizhya, but has spent recent years working away from top-flight football.
Volobuyev returns
Zorya, meanwhile, will start the spring campaign under the leadership of their former coach Anatoliy Volobuyev, who co-founded their Premier League rivals FC Stal Alchevsk. Zorya are 15th after the autumn campaign with 12 points from 16 games, while Kryvbas have eight points more and lie in tenth. notas_de_prensa_archivo
