UEFA CUP: Steaua sign new goalkeeper

/noticias.info/ Last season's UEFA Cup semi-finalists FC Steaua Bucuresti have signed 23-year-old Brazilian goalkeeper Andrey Nazário Afonso from Figueirense FC.

Goalkeeper replaced
The 23-year-old will replace Portuguese goalkeeper Carlos Alberto Fernandes who has returned to his home country after some high-profile mistakes led to him losing the confidence of the Steaua coaching staff. The new goalkeeper has signed a three-and-a-half year contract with the reigning Divizia A champions. Having finished third in their UEFA Champions League group, Steaua have earned a UEFA Cup place, and will play holders Sevilla FC in a Round of 32 tie in the spring. notas_de_prensa_archivo
