FOOTBALL EUROPE: Legia bank on Grzelak promise
/noticias.info/ Polish champions Legia Warszawa have acquired the services of highly-rated international forward Bartłomiej Grzelak after agreeing to pay RTS Widzew Lódz a fee in the region of €600,000.
Legia honour
The 25-year-old striker, who has signed a contract until June 2010 with his new club, led the second division scoring charts last season with 20 goal and has struck four times in 13 top-flight appearances in the current campaign. "I'm very happy I have reached a quick agreement with Legia," said Grzelak. "Playing for the club is an honour for me and I will do my best to repay the trust I have received."
'Impressive and talented'
Grzelak made his debut for Poland at the start of this month and immediately impressed on the international stage, scoring twice in a 5-2 away win against the United Arab Emirates on 6 December. Legia president Piotr Zygo is also delighted with the signing, saying: "I'm happy one of the most impressive and talented forwards in the Polish Ekstraklasa will join our team." notas_de_prensa_archivo
