FOOTBALL EUROPE: Macedonians mourn Oliveira
/noticias.info/ Macedonian football is in mourning after Ricardo Oliveira, the first Brazilian to play in the Prva Liga, died of a heart attack at the age of 30.
Found unconscious
The Brazilian-born FK Shkendija 79 forward, who latterly was made a Macedonian citizen, was found unconscious and taken to hospital by his friend, FK Vardar player Aginaldo. "I found Oliveira unconscious in the bathroom and I immediately brought him to hospital," he said. "But it was too late."
'I'm shocked'
Oliveira had not played this season due to a knee injury but scored 77 goals in the Macedonian league since joining FK Pobeda in 1997. He also played for FK Rabotnicki and Vardar. "I'm shocked," said former F.Y.R. Macedonia coach Gjoko Hadzievski. "He was a very good footballer - it was a pleasure to watch him play." notas_de_prensa_archivo
