UEFA EURO 2008: Muzurovic answers Bosnian call

/noticias.info/ Fuad Muzurović has been appointed coach of Bosnia-Herzegovina for a second time. Muzurović was the first coach of the national side following independence, leading the fledgling nation between 1992 and 1997, and was delighted to return to the role.

'Very glad'
"I'm very glad to have been selected to lead the national team again," he said. "The assignment I have been given is not easy, and I know this from the start. I will try to do my best and with the help of my team I hope we will achieve good results."

Experience
Muzurović, 61, played for FK Sarajevo among others and was in their title-winning side of 1967, the first time a club outside the big four of Partizan, FK Crvena Zvezda, Dinamo Zagreb and HNK Hajduk Split were crowned Yugoslav champions. He has vast coaching experience, having led FK Sarajevo and FK Priština in his homeland as well as enjoying stints with clubs in Turkey, Egypt and Japan.

Tough task
Muzurović replaces Blaž Slišković who was sacked after a poor start to Bosnia-Herzegovina's UEFA EURO 2008™ qualifying campaign. He inherits a team with a record of one win and four points from four Group C games. His first match back in charge will be a qualifier against Norway in Oslo on 24 March. notas_de_prensa_archivo
