The fifth Annual Demo Day precedes the golf industry's largest and most influential business gathering, the 54th Merchandise Show, Jan. 25-27, 2007, at the Orange County Convention Center in Orlando, Fla.

More than 4,000 PGA members, invited buyers and media will have the unique opportunity to personally test the latest equipment and discuss product attributes and performance with top golf manufacturers among 120 hitting bays and three practice greens of 42-acre practice facility of Orange County National. A full schedule of new special events are planned including sessions featuring Bobby Grace, who will offer his unique insight into putter design compliments of MacGregor Golf and Luther Blacklock, one of Europe's top 25 teachers, who will present his findings on "optimum biomechanical swing plane" compliments of Explanar.

Rounding out the special events schedule will be equipment demonstrations, clubfitting workshops and manufacturer contests, including the new Softspikes Cleat Changing Challenge. The Softspikes contest tests PGA Professionals' and retailers' cleat-changing skills against a professional race car pit crew with the best times being entered into a cash prize drawing.

Demo Day will begin with MacGregor Golf hosting a breakfast and technical presentation exclusively for PGA Professionals at 8:00 a.m., followed by an early PGA Professional opening at 9:00 a.m. PGA Professionals receive four MSR hours for attending the 2007 Demo Day. The 2007 Golf Demo Day is presented by PGA Golf Exhibitions and PGA Magazine and is sponsored by Yamaha and Aldila, Inc. The official tee and shuttle bus sponsor is Pride Golf Tees.

The 2007 PGA Merchandise Show will host more than 43,000 international golf industry professionals, who will preview and test merchandise from more than 1,250 golf manufacturers, learn valuable retailing methods and share successful player development programs to foster the continued growth of the game. Exhibition, education and player development programs at the 54th PGA Merchandise Show will take place Jan. 25-27, from 8:30 a.m.-6:00 p.m. EST, at the Orange County Convention Center in Orlando, Fla.

The PGA Merchandise Show is a trade industry-only event. PGA Professionals and golf retailers can learn more about the 2007 PGA Merchandise Show and also register at www.pgashow.com. notas_de_prensa_archivo
