GOLF: PGA TOUR: Q&A: Stankowski on family, health and going out a winner

/noticias.info/ Editor's note: Paul Stankowski finished tied for eighth place at the PGA TOUR Qualifying Tournament, making him one of 40 new Q-school graduates who will enter the PGA TOUR for the 2007 FedExCup season. Stankowski chatted with PGATOUR.com for this Q&A.

PGATOUR.com: Tell me three things not related to golf that you consider must-dos in this lifetime.
Stankowski: "Get married, have kids and eat the meatballs at Angelo's in Little Italy!!!''

PGATOUR.com: What is your wildest golf dream?
Stankowski: "To win my next TOUR event and have my kids run out onto the 18th green to celebrate with me! My wife Regina was with me in Atlanta and I was by myself in Hawaii.''

PGATOUR.com: What aspect of the playing on the PGA TOUR will make you most nervous next year and why?
Stankowski: "It all makes me nervous!!!''

PGATOUR.com: What was your welcome-to-professional-golf moment?
Stankowski: "After playing four years of college golf at UTEP and staying in really nice hotels I tried to make a hotel reservation for my first mini-tour event in Palm Springs and found out the hotels are NOT cheap. A comparable hotel to what I was used to staying cost $100-200 a night, so I stayed at Motel 6!''

PGATOUR.com: Describe the menu, from soup to nuts, of your next title celebration dinner. And name the wine pairings.
Stankowski: "It would be a Mexican Fiesta...Chips and Guacamole from Anamias in Flower Mound...my homemade Tacos...lots of Tacos (they are not too healthy but GOOD!) For dessert it has to be Cheesecake! Your pick for the beverages!''

Stankowski: "SLAM by TobyMac.

PGATOUR.com: Other than winning a tournament, what would make next year a success?
Stankowski: "After all the injuries I have had the last three years, just getting thru another year HEALTHY would be awesome!''

PGATOUR.com: Who would you most like to hit balls next to, and why?
Stankowski: "I would love to get to hit balls next to my brother Tommy out on the PGA TOUR. Nothing would make me happier than to get to compete with him out here!''

PGATOUR.com: You’ve got one more victory coming before you retire. What trophy do you want to hoist and why?
Stankowski: "I would have to say the last tournament I play in...it would be nice to go out a winner!!!'' notas_de_prensa_archivo
