PSV: Jefferson Farfan may start against Willem II
/noticias.info/ Ronald Koeman announced at the weekly media briefing that Jefferson Farfán is doubtful for tomorrow night´s game against Willem II and he added that Manuel da Costa is ruled out.
Farfán has been called up to the eighteen-man squad, but will face a late fitness test on Saturday. If Farfán does not start, Koeman will give a place to Kluivert in his starting line-up. "We need to field a proper target man. I like to play three strikers at home, but you sometimes have to adjust your game plan when players are not available."
"Kluivert is making good progress. "We would like to include him in the starting XI, but I feel that he is not completely match fit yet." Koeman is not focusing on the Feyenoord game yet, but was willing to look ahead at Boxing Day´s meeting with his brother Erwin, who is at the helm at Feyenoord. "It´s not on our minds yet, but of course it is pleasant to cross horns with your own brother. It´s going to be a tough test, as we don´t know what they are up to. Their season is marked by highs and lows."
Da Costa is ruled out for Saturday night´s game. "He is still troubled by an ankle problem and will go to hospital for further examination. He will not make any appearances this year any more." Koeman did not say much about Franklin Salas, who is on trial with PSV. "I am happy to be able to see him in action at training. It is great to watch him closely after he has recovered from his injury. We will offer him a contract if he meets our expectations and we are interested in one more player to strengthen our attacking options." notas_de_prensa_archivo
