AC MILAN: TOTALLY IN SYNCH
Alberto Gilardino and Ricky Kakà have more than just the same age in common. The pair, who were born in 1982, are also finding the net in tandem.
/noticias.info/ Alberto Gilardino and Ricky Kakà are not only the boys of '82 but they are becoming the goalscoring pair for Milan. The 24-year-olds scored twice against Catania in midweek and followed that up with another double at Udinese. Kakà got things going on Saturday when he dusted himself down after being fouled in the area to dispatch the penalty with ease and Gila double the tally when the striker reacted quickly to a loose ball following Marek Jankulovski's cross to flick home a volley with the outside of his right boot.
There is a new feeling in the Rossoneri attack, with Kakà also setting them up and Gila finishing, to take his total to six in the league. However, the Brazilian is hot on his heels with five goals of his own, but it is their understanding in and around the penalty area that really catches the eye. Any doubts that the performance against Catania was an isolated upturn in a less-than-satisfactory campaign were swept away at Udine.
Gila's turning point was missing that penalty against Torino and now the number 11 has hit his stride while Kakà has been playing through the pain barrier of a foot problem, but in their own way both have helped each along to greater heights - and we still have 2007 to look forward to. notas_de_prensa_archivo
