Chelsea snatch last-gasp win
The top of the Premiership has a traditional look for Christmas with Chelsea, Arsenal and Liverpool all lined up behind United after a bumper day for goals.
/noticias.info/ The big four were all successful on Saturday - but only just in Chelsea's case. Jose Mourinho's men allowed Wigan to come back from 2-0 down and were heading for two dropped points until Arjen Robben grabbed a dramatic goal for the Blues in injury time. It was their second 3-2 win away from home in successive Premiership weekends.
Arsenal rattled in three goals in the last five minutes to beat Blackburn by a tennis score, 6-2. Gilberto, Hleb and Adebayor (penalty) were all on target inside the first 27 minutes after Nonda had given the visitors a shock lead from the spot after just three minutes. Nonda's second gave Blackburn a chance at 3-2 but Van Persie (2) and Flamini finished them off.
Liverpool were also home winners, despite the best efforts of United goalkeeper Ben Foster, back in goal for his loan club Watford. Busy throughout, he made several excellent saves and was only beaten by Bellamy and Alonso in the second half.
