P53 W37 D11 L15 F123 A52
Our Premiership record in this fixture is:
P W D L

This is the second meeting between the two managers: Gareth Southgate was triumphant in a 2-1 at the Riverside earlier this season. We won the corresponding fixture here last season – by 1-0 thanks to a goal by James Beattie.
Everton have scored in 50 out of their 53 home league matches against ‘Boro.
We have met three times before on Boxing Day in the Premiership – in 1992 the sides drew 2-2 at Goodison, three years later we won 4-0 at home and the following season we went down 4-2 at Boro.
The goals
The last Everton player to score a hat-trick was Tommy Lawton who scored 4 at ‘Boro in 1939 in a 4-4 draw. Lawton also scored a hat-trick at Goodison in the same season.
The last ‘Boro player to score a hat-trick v the Blues was Alex McCrae in 1950.
Having scored on Saturday, Andy Johnson will be looking for his first goal at Goodison since September and to move ahead of Tim Cahill in the race to be our leading scorer this season – both have seven.
The players
The last Everton player sent-off in the fixture was David Weir in October 1999.
It will be Simon Davies’ 50th game for the Blues should he play on Boxing Day.
Tim Howard’s penalty save at the Riverside in September is the only one by an Everton keeper since Richard Wright’s save against Sunderland in August 2002.
General
We have on just three of the 13 fixtures held on Boxing Day in the Premiership.
Gary Naysmith has played nine times this season (seven for the Blues and two for Scotland) and has yet to be on the losing side. notas_de_prensa_archivo
