LIVERPOOL FC: ABLETT FULL OF PRAISE FOR DEBUTANT
Gary Ablett was full of praise for goalkeeper Daniele Padelli after the Italian had a superb game during the reserves 1-0 defeat at Middlesbrough.
/noticias.info/ The Italian Under-21 international enjoyed a debut to remember and pulled off a string of excellent saves to keep the score down to just 1-0.
Ablett's young team tried hard and never gave up against a strong Boro' XI which included the likes of Jason Euell and former Chelsea defender Robert Huth.
"Daniele did very well and can be very pleased with his debut," enthused Ablett.
"At times it was difficult for us in the first half because we left Jordy Brouwer isolated on his own up front and we didn't get support to him quick enough which was disappointing.
"We started positively in the second half but we suffered when Besian Idrizaj was sent-off for two silly fouls. To be fair to Bez he apologised after the game and he knew he was in the wrong but I felt at that time we were right in the game.
"The young lads worked their socks off and while we are disappointed with the result I can't fault their efforts." notas_de_prensa_archivo
