Arsenal programme claims top award - again!

/noticias.info/ The Arsenal programme has been voted Programme of the Year for the current season by Programme Monthly magazine.

The most prestigious accolade in the programme world, Programme Monthly described the current issue as: ‘Packed, authoritative — a constant contender for the top award over the past decade. This season, it is the sheer quality and quantity of content, presented in a distinctive and attractive manner which sets it above its peers.’

The publication, which last won the award for the 'Highbury Farewell' season reclaims the trophy after a second place finish last term. Sunderland were the team pipped at the post by the Gunners, with north London rivals Tottenham finishing in third place.

Programme Editor Andy Exley was delighted with the recognition: "We work very hard to ensure the programme is genuinely good value for money and it's pleasing that Programme Monthly acknowledges our endeavours,” he said.

"It's crucial not to stand still in programme production and we've included a number of new features in this season's issue, including a 'Big Interview' that has featured exclusives with Foreign Secretary David Miliband, cricketer Mark Ramprakash, NBA star Luol Deng and many other big names. It is also key that we maintain the very strong exclusive content from players and management and every programme has lengthy interviews with current players as well as the thoughts of the captain and manager.

"Supporters' contributions are very important to the programme and we're extremely grateful to all of those fans who take the time to write in to the programme for the various pages that rely on their contributions. It's also worth pointing out that the programme couldn’t be produced without the dedication of the editorial team and the club photographers."

A record amount of programmes were printed for the first season at Emirates with almost one million coming off the printing presses. With a couple of good results in the Champions League, it's still possible for this season to hit the million mark.
