LIVERPOOL FC: U-18S BID TO TAME WOLVES
Liverpool Under-18s hope to get back on the winning trail when they face Wolves at the Academy on Saturday morning (11am).
/noticias.info/ Hughie McAuley's side battled to a goalless draw with Newcastle on a wind swept North East day at Newcastle last week, and the young Reds are on the lookout for goals against Wolves.
Back in October in the corresponding fixture, a brace from David Amoo plus strikes from Nathan Eccleston and Gary MacKay-Steven gave McAuley's side a 4-1 win over the Black Country side.
"We have been going through one of those spells when we have drawn four or five games that we could have won," said McAuley.
"At Blackburn we scored, at Newcastle we didn't. It is frustrating but we just need to keep working on it and creating the chances. Finishing generally hasn't been a problem, but we just need to kill teams off.
"It is a measure of our progress, though, that we are disappointed when we are not beating teams like Newcastle and others.
"We just need to turn that domination in matches into goals and victories." notas_de_prensa_archivo
