LIVERPOOL FC: BOLTON V LFC: MATCH PREVIEW
Rafael Benitez takes his in-form Reds to Bolton hoping to secure what would be his first ever win at the Reebok Stadium.
/noticias.info/ The Liverpool boss has not had the best of results on the Trotters' home turf over the past three seasons but he'll be eager for his team to overcome that hoodoo and maintain their push for fourth on Sunday.
The 2-0 win over Inter Milan followed by a Fernando Torres-inspired 3-2 success against Middlesbrough has lifted the mood at Anfield in the past few weeks, and with El Nino in scintillating form they will be confident of picking up three precious points.
Back in December, Liverpool cantered to a 4-0 win over the Trotters at Anfield but it's always a different story at the Reebok Stadium, where the likes of Manchester United and Atletico Madrid have already come unstuck this season.
Indeed, the Reds may well have won the last two meetings in L4 but on their previous visit to Lancashire they were well beaten, with Gary Speed and Ivan Campo firing Wanderers to a 2-0 victory.
The home side head into the clash hoping to end a run of two straight defeats and they will be well aware of the Reds' impressive away record, with Rafael Benitez's men having already notched up six league victories on the road so far this season.
Liverpool have been given a boost ahead of the match with the news that Javier Mascherano has put pen to paper on a four-year deal with the club to finally bring an end to the speculation surrounding his long-term future.
As for team news, Benitez welcomes back Jamie Carragher, who missed last Saturday's triumph over 'Boro through suspension.
The Reds could also bring Daniel Agger back into the squad, although he is unlikely to feature, while Martin Skrtel, Harry Kewell and Xabi Alonso are also pushing for a recall after impressing during the reserves' 2-0 win over Manchester United in midweek.
Gary Megson has no new injury worries to contend with going into the clash, with El Hadji Diouf set to face his former club while on-loan Reds midfielder Danny Guthrie is ineligible. notas_de_prensa_archivo
