ARSENAL: Premier League welcomes internet streaming rules
/noticias.info/ The Premier League has welcomed the High Court's decisions of 20 and 27 February to grant judgment and an injunction against the operators of three websites, www.footballon.net, www.freepremierleague.com, and www.premiershiplive.net which have been illegally providing access to live and unauthorised footage of Premier League matches.
Mr Justice Henderson and Mr Justice Mann also awarded the Premier League substantial costs and an order for damages to be assessed.
“The Premier League is pleased the High Court has ruled in its favour on both occasions firstly establishing, and secondly reaffirming, a precedent against the illegal streaming of Premier League football over the internet. The Premier League hopes that those who own, run and use such sites are now aware that the streaming of Premier League football infringes the Premier League's copyright, and is therefore illegal.”
The Premier League will continue to seek recourse to the Courts in respect of the illegal streaming of Premier League matches. notas_de_prensa_archivo
