EVERTON FC: U18'S STILL LOOKING

/noticias.info/ Everton’s under 18s are still looking for their first win of 2008.

The Blues slipped to a 1-0 defeat against Crewe on Saturday morning.

The excellence of the Alex keeper and some resolute defending denied Neil Dewsnip’s young charges a deserved point after totally dominating the game.

An indifferent start gifted Crewe the lead after seven minutes. The goal rallied the Blues into life and Lewis Codling went close before half-time.

After the break, Everton increased the pressure as they searched for an equaliser. Jose Baxter hit the bar and a number of shots were cleared off the line but it was just not to be for the Blues.

Despite the defeat, coach Neil Dewsnip remained upbeat.

“I was pleased with the performance, it was a big improvement from last week,” he told evertonfc.com.

“We had a number of really good chances to score but in the end it was just one of those days.” notas_de_prensa_archivo
