FIFA: Juve pain is Daniel's joy

/noticias.info/ Juventus saw their charge for the Serie A title take a huge blow on Sunday when Fiorentina rolled into to Turin and won out 3-2 thanks to a late flurry. Although fans of the 'Old Lady' were well in the doldrums, Mexican ace prognosticator DanielOlaf picked up 92 points off the result, helping keep him in first place in the FIFA World Leagues Predictor for the fourth straight week.

Few were tipping La Viola to upset the form book, but Daniel Gomez has kept himself in first place for ten out of the last eleven rounds with just those kinds of unpopular picks. He also bagged points through Espanyol's morale-boosting win over Valencia in Spain and Bayern Munich's victory on the road against Schalke 04 in hostile Gelsenkirchen.

Eyinmisan, the Nigeria-born Londoner and only man to have knocked Daniel off his perch in the last eleven weeks, pulled himself 376 points for the Round to slip back into second place with 5043, just 95 behind the leader. MPear11's haul of 315 was enough to keep the Canadian in third place.

There was little substantive change near the top, but the week's best picker was the first-ever from Thailand. Phuket44 grabbed 530 points for the round, largely on the strength of Atletico's win over Barcelona in Spain, to win the week's top prize of a signed jersey from the FIFA World Cup-winning player of his choosing.

In addition to the Thai's prize of an autographed jersey, the six best finishers from the week (one from each of FIFA's six confederations) will each receive the 2006 FIFA World Cup Germany book entitled 'The Final Day' together with the DVD 'The Grand Finale.' The lucky bunch from round 20 are: Catrach (CONCACAF, USA), freducho77 (CONMEBOL, Colombia) gaelferrari (UEFA, France), mistakay (CAF, Ghana), hayssasmi (AFC, Lebanon) and safryder (OFC, Fiji).

As always, next week's schedule has some mouth-watering contest on offer. Liverpool will host struggling Newcastle at Anfield in England while Barcelona hope to bounce back as they welcome Villarreal to the Camp Nou.

Round 21 games - 8 & 9 March:
Liverpool-Newcastle (England)
Barcelona-Villarreal (Spain)
Stuttgart-Werder Bremen (Germany)
Marseille-Saint-Etienne (France)
Genclerbirligi-Besiktas (Turkey)
Panionios-PAOK (Greece)
Charleroi-Anderlecht (Belgium)
Aston Villa-Middlesbrough (England)
Parma-Sampdoria (Italy)
Real Zaragoza-Atletico Madrid (Spain)

The overall winner of the FIFA World Leagues Predictor will win a trip for two to the FIFA World Cup South Africa 2010 and two tickets to one of the group matches.

Even if you missed out on the opening rounds, sign up now and join the fun! Prove that you have got what it takes to knock recently returned top-dog DanielOlaf off top spot and pick yourself up some hot prizes in the process. notas_de_prensa_archivo
