ARSENAL: Champions League: Arsenal's odds slashed for European glory

Having beaten the defending champions AC Milan in their own backyard, something an English team has never done, Arsenal’s odds to win the trophy have been slashed from 14/1 to just 5/1 third favourites.

Barcelona remain the team to beat at 10/3 with Manchester United sandwiched in between the two at 7/2. Chelsea, who play on Wednesday, are 6/1 although that price will no doubt shorten should they see off Olympiakos at Stamford Bridge.

Darren Haines, spokesman for Paddy Power, explained: “Arsenal’s performance last night made the whole of Europe sit up and take note. If you can do that to the champions in their own backyard you can take on anyone and punters have been quick to latch on to the Gunners' Euro adventure today.”
