ARSENAL: Brady - Ireland job won't affect Arsenal work
/noticias.info/ By Chris Harris
Liam Brady is confident that his new role with the Republic of Ireland will not interfere with his work at Arsenal.
The Club's Head of Youth Development has agreed a two-year deal to become an assistant to new Republic manager Giovanni Trapattoni - a man Brady played under during his spell at Juventus in the 1980s. However, the Arsenal legend insists he can do both jobs with distinction.
"I am confident it won’t interfere with my work within Youth Development here at Arsenal," Brady told Arsenal.com.
"I have had meetings with the manager and Club directors including Richard Carr, the Director in charge of Youth Development, and feel comfortable in having taken the decision of accepting Giovanni Trappatoni’s offer to help Ireland prepare for the next World Cup and imminent international fixtures and beyond.
"Having played for my country for 16 years it will be a great experience to join them and help.
"Now that everything has been cleared with the Club I’m very much looking forward to the part-time role." notas_de_prensa_archivo
